Claremont Veterinary Hospital is proud to be truly independent. It has been locally owned and operated by Drs Danielle Richardson and Gina Micke since 2016. Their journey began in the early 1990s as veterinary science students at Murdoch University.
The expert team at Claremont Veterinary Hospital are passionate about delivering exceptional service and comprehensive veterinary care for the pets of Claremont and the surrounding suburbs.

Dr Danielle Richardson

Senior Veterinarian
I am a true Claremont local having grown up in Bernard Street. I am a St Hilda's old girl and did my first work experience at Claremont Vet Clinic with Dr Sam Sorenson when the practice was on Stirling Highway! I spent nine years running my own vet hospital in Carnarvon. General practice in a large regional town guaranteed me a wealth of experience in all areas of veterinary medicine, especially surgery - my passion! My other interests are dermatology, palliative care and geriatric medicine. I am a devoted mum to five beautiful children.
Dr Libby Beresford
BSc BVMS (Hons) MANZCVS
Senior Veterinarian
Graduating from Murdoch University 30 years ago, I have worked extensively in small animal practices in Perth since. For the past nine years I have worked at Claremont Veterinary Hospital. My passion lies in the field of canine and feline medicine and I have passed membership examinations to the Australian New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Canine Medicine. Particular interests include cardiology, dermatology and endocrinology.
Dr Gina Micke
BSc BVMS (Hons) PhD
Senior Veterinarian
My veterinary career began very early "helping" in my parents' veterinary surgery in Moora before I boarded at PLC. I have extensive mixed animal practice experience and a PhD in endocrinology and metabolism. This ensures a deep understanding of diseases such as diabetes, thyroid and adrenal conditions. My other interests are preventative health care, nutrition and pain management. I spent four action packed years (and race rounds) in Kalgoorlie as a practice owner.

The team at Claremont Veterinary Hospital are exceptional. Winston had his first check up, attended puppy school and has continued to access expert care and support here. The owners (Dani and Gina) are also the Vets and they have given me lots of education to ensure Winston has a safe and happy home. They have gone above and beyond as do their staff, to make sure my little dude and I are okay which makes me feel like my dog’s wellbeing and happiness is important to them. Winston actually enjoys visiting his Vet - only the best for my puppy.

I just love how the staff really care about our pets and also us humans! There is such a great rapport and I actually do like going to the vets. I just feel that Claremont Vets never take advantage cost wise and are always sympathetic to how much it can cost and will do all they can to minimise any expenses. The empathy from all staff - from arriving at the vets, the girls at reception are always friendly and happy and the vets are always going that bit further to put our pets at ease and give them the best treatment possible
